Why is it that Caritas Health Shield scrapped their best selling products?
Why did Expanded Gold disappear?
How about Expanded Premier and Expanded Prime Plus?
Why were they replaced by inferior products?
Caritas Health Shield's Expanded Gold product was one of the best in the industry. But why the hell is it not their anymore? The simple answer is because:
The product they had was expensive for their operations and it will really bankrupt them in the long run. They spent their trust funds on lost investments. They purchase real estate that did not give them decent returns. They even have a building that only caritas health shield occupies. They are going the way of CAP. Remember College Assurance Plan? CAP purchased several real estates, built several buildings and generally wasted their money. In the end, they were dissolved.
Caritas is going that way also if they won't change their products. Before they had the following products:
